Lyngdal is a southern town and municipality in Norway and is home to approximately 7800 people. Our family oriented community, teeming with business and cultural events and activities, makes Lyngdal an attractive choice for families with children, young adults and business entrepreneurs.

Lyngdal’s central location makes it a midpoint, both in terms of geography and connectivity, in the western parts of the county. The short distance to both the Kristiansand and Stavanger metropolitan areas, puts both domestic and international travel-connections within easy reach.

Transportation
A geographical- and travel connection hub in the western parts of the county because E39 [Route 39 of the interstate highway system of Europe] and FV 43 [County road # 43] are intersecting thoroughfares running through Lyngdal.

Lyngdal have long lasting wood-finishing and mechanical industry traditions and a substantial retail- and service sector. There are also strong growth in the areas of financial services, financial management and public services.

It is the main shopping destination in the region and a good number two in the area of tourism in Vest Agder County. Its strategic location makes Lyngdal a choice business site for new ventures.

A one-stop business resource office called “Vekst i Lyngdal” or VIL for short provides assistance for new or existing business ventures and is charged with the general management of economic development in the municipality.
